This HP All-in-One – 22-2066na came in for diagnosis because it was running very slow and crashing. We used the in built HP diagnostics available by pressing F12 and then choosing Diagnostics from the boot menu. Once run the diagnostics flagged up a SMART hard drive failure. This is an early warning system to alert you of an impending Hard Drive failure so it should give you enough time to recover your data before it completely dies.

We suggested upgrading the drive to a fast SSD as it would massively improve the All in one PC performance. We installed a 240GB Crucial SSD with Windows 10 as it the user only needed 60GB of storage so with Windows and programs there would still be plenty of space left.

We were able to easily copy the data over using a 3.5″ SATA USB convertor with no issues.

The PC worked perfectly with vastly improved boot and general speed because of the SSD
