PCHeadache recently replaced the battery in an HP Pavilion x360 due to performance issues caused by a degraded battery. The laptop was experiencing rapid battery drain, occasional shutdowns, and Windows was showing a warning to consider replacing the battery.
To fix the issue, i ordered a compatible replacement battery specific to my Pavilion x360 model. After shutting down the laptop and unplugging all cables, I carefully removed the screws on the back panel and used a plastic pry tool to open the case.
Once inside, I located the internal battery, unplugged its connector from the motherboard, and removed the screws securing it. I then installed the new battery, reconnected the cable, and secured it in place with the screws.
After reattaching the back cover and powering the laptop on, I confirmed that the battery was charging correctly. Everything worked as expected, and the new battery significantly improved the laptop’s performance and reliability.
Proper disposal of the old battery at a local recycling center was the final step.
