An existing customer brought their HP laptop to us as it was reporting that “No operating system found”. We ran the inbuilt diagnostics which reported that no hard drive was found. We took the M2 SSD chip out and used an M2 USB convertor to attach it to another PC. We had no issues getting the data off and the Windows logs did not report any issues. We replaced the chip with a new Crucial M2 SSD drive into the HP Laptop and installed Windows no problem. We advised the customer that as this has happened once we would not trust it and would go for the new drive.
