Dell Laptop Space Recovery and Reinstall

A Dell laptop brought to us was barely working. They hadn’t used it for a while but wanted to use it for their daughters schoolwork. Even though Windows was loading it was very temperamental and behaving erratically. Also, the touch pad was not working. On diagnosis we discovered that there was literally zero disk space available. The hard drive was an SSD but was only 128GB and the customer had 75GB of pictures etc.

The laptop was on a very old version of Windows 10 so we suggested moving all data off onto a USB drive and then reinstalling the latest version.

We moved all data to a USB drive (provided by the customer) and then wiped the laptop and reinstalled windows 10. The touchpad started working and then laptop worked perfectly with plenty of disk space available.
