Sony Vaio Keyboard Replacement

A customer called to report that their child had split some sticky liquid onto the laptop keyboard and now some keys were behaving erratically. They asked if the keys could be replaced manually but we advised that this is probably more difficult than replacing the whole keyboard. We tracked down a replacement keyboard for this model and ordered it immediately.

On arrival of the new keyboard we took out 2/3 screws on the base of the laptop and then gently popped out the old keyboard. We connected the new keyboard with the laptops keyboard ribbon and put it back together.

We logged into Windows to test the keyboard was working with all the key letters etc.

It worked fine 🙂
