250GB SSD Replacement For Faulty HDD

A customer contacted us about their laptop not booting after liquid was spilled onto it. The HP Laptop reported that no Hard Drive was found. We expressed our concerns that the issue may actually be the connector on the motherboard that was damaged and not the hard drive. When we opened the laptop to check the fault we did not find any obvious signs of liquid damage. We took the Hard Drive out and tested it in a USB convertor on another PC. The drive did not show any signs of life whatsoever. No power, noise or vibrations from spinning. We tried a test hard drive into the HP laptop and it showed it was installed.

We offered a 250GB SSD replacement and Windows 10 reinstallation. The SSD would be a much faster option than the standard Sata Hard Drive that was currently installed. The installation went fine.

Unfortunately we could not recover any data from the existing drive
